All good ideas, I've also bought a bright yellow (almost matches the bike) AlpineStars jacket that also has reflective piping and brand labeling on it. Friends tell me they can spot me easily a long ways away and they think it is a great idea. The jacket is also very windproof, and comfortable between about 40 deg and 99 deg F. That is my range of riding temps. It has armor in the shoulders and elbows and can be fitted with the backbone armor. Not cheap but this 57 year old skin heals slower than it used to. Also have Cordura chaps a boot shop sewed up for me ($99.) lined with cotton to minimize the heat transfer if I do slide. Still having 60-70 degree days here in Eastern WA and riding every day for grins. Max
